Grandchildren: Alexis, E.J., Mak, Kassidy, Elijah, Gabriel, and Carter.
Five siblings Randell Durk (Ella), Phillip Gholston (Leslie), Malena Jones, Chandra "Bridgette" Gholston and Jacques Gholston.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis Ashby, his father Lo Ranzy Gholston and two sisters, Yvette Gholston and Nichelle "Shelly" Gholston.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Quincy Faith Assembly of God, 4000 State St., Quincy, IL. A gathering for family and close friends will follow immediately at the Microtel Inn and Suites (Rear Banquet Room).
