Patricia E. (Pat) Glore

Patricia E (Pat) Glore, of 411 South 36th St., Quincy, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 30th, at the age of 87. She was born October 16th, 1935 in Quincy. She was the only child of Mildred M Selves (née Hetzler) and J Russell Selves. She married William A Glore September 28th, 1952 in Quincy. He preceded her in death July 1st, 2014.

Pat is survived by three of her four children: Karen L (Michael) Bergman of Quincy, William K (Kathy) Glore of Quincy, and Jason K (Marlenne) Glore of San Antonio, TX.

She is also survived by seven of her eight grandchildren: Scott (Laura) Bergman of Quincy, Darren (Jenna) Glore of Springfield, IL, Lindsey (Daniel) Miller of Oklahoma City, OK, Jayme (Koda) Veihl of Quincy, Stephanie (Ryan) Hill of Nebo, IL, Yasmine Glore of San Antonio, TX, and Andrew Glore of San Antonio, TX.

Also surviving are nineteen great-grandchildren: Emily (Justin) Heming, Cade (Rayme) Bergman, Alexis Bergman, Luke Bergman, Haley Dotson, Lucas Dotson, Makinley Miller, Hendrick Miller, Wynne Miller, Landon Veihl, Lincoln Veihl, Kole Veihl, Elliot Veihl, Hazel Hill, Evelyn Hill, Huntley Hill, Mabel Jean Hill, Sawyer Hill, and Milo Glore, and four great-great grandchildren: Percy Heming, Cash Heming, Novella Heming, and Ember Bergman.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents: Mildred M Selves and J Russell Selves, her husband: William A Glore, her son: Jeffrey A Glore, her daughter-in-law: Tracy Glore, and a beloved granddaughter: Shannon K Bergman Moore.

You may have seen some of Pat's paintings. She had two showings at Blessing Hospital and a big display at Riverfest for many years. She painted 259 acrylic paintings: mostly dogs, kittens and horses. She loved giving them to family and donating them to benefits for sick children. She crocheted 492 afghans, and many baby blankets, stocking caps, scarves, and prayer blankets, which she also loved giving to others.

Pat was a 45-year member of Christ Lutheran Church where she loved worshipping the Lord, serving as a "Prayer Warrior" and being with her church family.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 1:00 PM in Quincy Memorial Park. There is no visitation, but friends are invited to the graveside services. Memorials can be made to Christ Lutheran Church or to any charity of your choice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
