Larry L. Nokes

Larry L. Nokes, age 72, of Quincy, died on Saturday, May 29, 2021 in Kahoka, MO. He was born on March 14, 1949 in Quincy, the son of Richard & Betty (Neaves) Nokes. Larry married Kathy Nokes. She survives. Larry worked in construction in the Quincy area for many years. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Larry liked Bowling, video gaming, boating and motorcycle riding. But most of all, he enjoyed hanging out with friends and family.

In addition to his wife, Kathy, he is also survived by:
HIS MOTHER: Betty Nokes of Quincy
CHILDREN: Morris Nokes (Kayla) of Zumbrota, MN; Melissa Morrison (Daniel) of Macon, MO; and Michelle Lough of Mexico, MO.
A BROTHER: Daniel Nokes of Quincy,
12 Grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, a son: Michael P. Nokes, a great-grandson, and siblings: Charles Nokes, Wanda Lou Clark and Michael R. Nokes.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 1:00 PM in Greenmount Cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Post #37 and the Illinois National Guard Honor Detail. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services. Memorials may be made to the VFW. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
