Lawrence E. "Larry" Steinkamp

Lawrence E. 'Larry' Steinkamp, age 84, of Quincy, IL, died on Saturday, July 24, 2021 in his home. He was born on March 11, 1937 in Quincy, the son of Lawrence Bernard and Ethel Marie (Daniels) Steinkamp. He was a graduate of Quincy High School. He married Virginia Liesen on March 2, 1957. She survives.

Larry was a truck driver and later worked in the office for Nabisco for many years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Larry enjoyed hunting and in earlier years bowling. He was a member of the Archery Club, the Rabbit Club, and the Mississippi Valley Hunting and Fishing Association.

In addition to his wife, Larry is also survived by:
HIS STEP-MOTHER: Monique Steinkamp
CHILDREN: Linda Gertz (Randy), Karen Steinkamp, and Sara Coovert (Aaron) all of Quincy.
SIBLINGS: Leroy 'Mickey' Steinkamp (Vickie) and Dean Steinkamp (Jeannie).
Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchidren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, a son David Steinkamp, 4 children: Kevin, Eva, Paul and Jacob all in infancy; and two siblings: Jeannette Garrison along with her husband Bud and Kathleen Morgan along with her husband Richard.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 10:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of the services at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament School or Parish.
