Grover F. Thomas

Grover F. Thomas, age 66, of Quincy died on Sunday, January 8, 2023 in his home. He was born on July 24, 1956, in Quincy the son of Grover F. and Anna (Lawson) Thomas.

He attended Quincy Senior High School. At age 15, Grover began his career as a roofer.

For the last few years, he had worked at the Salvation Army Thrift Store.

Grover was an enthusiastic football super fan of the Buffalo Bills. In his younger years he liked riding his Triumph motorcycle. He was very helpful and along with his siblings, took good care of their mom and grandmother as they grew older. He was loved and will be missed.

Grover is survived by his two sons: Steve (Summer) Thomas and Joseph (Tisha) Thomas all of Quincy. Grandchildren: Stevie Griffin, Blaine Thomas, Lakyn Thomas, Brittany (Ryan) Garity, Dalton Thomas, Keaton Thomas, Amelia "Millie" Thomas; one great grandson, Ari Garity. Worked with Grover 1977-78 building what is now Ashley Furniture on Broadway. I haven't seen him since the mid 80's but think of the old Patterson Construction crew often. R.I.P. Gone but not forgotten.
