Dixie Lee Dietrich

Dixie Lee Dietrich age 66, of Virden, IL formerly of Quincy,
died on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 4:19 p.m. in her home.
Dixie was born in Quincy, IL on July 3, 1954 a daughter of Elmo and Nellie (TOURNEAR) Iams.
She was a graduate of Quincy Senior High School.
Dixie was a waitress for most of her working career, and for many years worked at Quincy's Coach House Restaurant. She was also a residential caregiver.
She attended the Crossing in Quincy. Dixie loved taking care-of people.
Survivors include her sister, Diane Taylor and brother, Jerry Iams both of Quincy. A grandson, Karson Holien and his mom Julia; nieces Bobbette (Evan) Enrietta and Nicole Kroencke; her step- children, Josh Dietrich and Nicole Dietrich. Her nephews, Ricky and Ryan Taylor, Shaun Iams, a niece, Jera Iams and several great nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Chad Taylor, who she loved more than anything else, and a sister, Judith Kroencke.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Due to the Covid restrictions, no services will be held at this time.
