Sandra A. Weibring

Sandra A. Weibring, 84, of Quincy, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021, at Blessing Hospital.
She was born October 19, 1937, in Quincy, to Spencer and Edythe Mary Vasen. She married Joseph A. Weibring on October 25, 1958, at St. Francis Solanus Church and they were happily married for 61 years. He preceded her in death on July 25, 2020.
Sandy was a graduate of Quincy High School and Stephens College in Columbia, MO. After getting married Sandy worked at Quincy Peoples Savings and Loan for several years. She then worked as a lunchroom supervisor at Ellington School where she was also the PTA president. She then moved on to work in the education department at Quincy College. Starting in 1978, she worked for attorney James Rapp at the law firm at Hutmacher, Rapp and Ortbal, P.C., and remained there for the next 35 years, finally retiring in 2013. She loved her work and the many clients she met over the years.
She was a member of St. Francis Solanus Church in Quincy.
Sandy enjoyed watching sports on tv and was an avid St. Louis Blues and Chicago Cubs fan. Sandy and Joe were regular customers at Sprouts and enjoyed catching up with friends and with the restaurant staff. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her granddaughters and great-granddaughters. Family night was her favorite night of the week. She also had a great love of animals in general and adored her pets. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, and her parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Blessing Hospice, Quincy Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.

Speaking from personal experience, I so enjoyed working with her....especially our personal talks each morning before we started our daily work.
