Randy Gene Kline

Randy Gene Kline

Randy Gene Kline, age 59 of Quincy, died on Friday, July 30, 2021, in the Timber Point Healthcare Center. Randy was born on July 19, 1962, in Quincy to Darrell and Shirley Ann (Sprinkle) Kline.

Randy proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Radioman while stationed on the USS Schofield.

Randy was lovingly known by Quincy locals as "the Charles Manson of South 8th Street." He was also an avid Trump Supporter, but the family has forgiven him for that. Randy, famous only in his own mind, was fictitiously inducted into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame for his rousing rendition of Kiss's "Rock and Roll all Nite" on the bar top at the Reservation on 8th and Adams where he worked for many years. Randy worked as a carnie making tenderloins for the Round-Up tavern as he traveled with the carnival. He has a tattoo that he had done as a trade for one of his tenderloins! He also worked in the mail room for the Quincy Herald Whig and for Tournear Roofing.

Randy is survived by his children, Amber Gauch (Matt), Meagan Murdick (Sam), Miranda Kline, Jacob Kline, and Pablo Kline who was sadly deported; three siblings, Greg Kline, Darrin Kline and Rebecca Tournear; three grandchildren, Ellie Wintheiser, Oliver Smith and Ezra Smith and his beloved dog Malley.

Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Yoisha (Grubbs) Sprinkle; his parents; his two dogs, Peanut and Daisy as well as numerous aunts and uncles.

Randy will forever be remembered for his deeply inappropriate sense of humor. Sadly, none of his favorite catch phrases and sayings made it into the newspaper for obvious reasons.
Randy's favorite ball team was the St. Louis Cardinals, so if you are attending services, you are welcome to wear red.

Graveside services with Military Honors by the United States Navy Funeral Honors Detail and the Quincy American Legion Post No. 37 will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. in Greenmount Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses in care of Darrin Kline. Service arrangements are with Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. www.dukerandhaugh.com
