Jeffrey Dean Bockenfeld

Jeffrey Dean Bockenfeld age 66, of Quincy died on Tuesday May 4, 2021 in Quincy. Jeff was born October 19, 1954 in Quincy, a son of Donald and Patricia (Ohnemus) Bockenfeld. He married Malinda R. Rockett in Missouri on September 3, 1976 and she survives. Jeff primarily worked in retail sales and he was a self-employed handyman.
He was a 1973 graduate of Christian Brothers High School. Jeff played pool for many years in the Quincy Lite Pool League. He loved being outdoors, having the family get-together at their river camp and boating, bow-fishing, and hunting. He also liked playing cards with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Malinda, survivors also include his two sons, Matthew Bockenfeld of Webb City, MO and Kelly (Kelsey) Bockenfeld of Quincy.
Grandchildren, Brady Bockenfeld, Nolan and Boah Bockenfeld all of Quincy.
His brothers Jim (Mary) Bockenfeld of Quincy; Rod (Susan) Bockenfeld of Watkins, CO; and his sister Donnette (Rick) Cannady of Quincy. Two sisters-in-law, Charla Rockett Bankhead of Higbee, MO and Melanie Rockett Lechtenberg of Quincy.
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Bockenfeld, Patricia and Charles Meado; and his mother and father-in-law Charlie and Ruth Rockett.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and private graveside services are planned. Memorials are suggested to a charity or organization of the donor's choice. Service arrangements are in care of the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
