William J. "Bill" Weckbach

William J. "Bill" Weckbach, II, age 59, of Quincy, died on Thursday, November 16, 2017 in his home. He was born on May 20, 1958 in Quincy, the son of Dr. William & Margaret (Menke) Weckbach.

Bill was a carpenter in the Quincy area for many years and most recently in the downtown area. He was of the Catholic Faith. Bill was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Quails Unlimited, and the Northside Businessmen's Association. Bill enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed his time with family and friends in his Country Lane neighborhood and Lake of the Oaks.

Bill is survived by:
A BROTHER: Dr. Robert 'Bob' Weckbach and his wife Cris of Quincy
NIECES AND NEPHEWS: Caitlin Costi and her husband Joe; Ashlee Reed and her fiancé Dave Sparks; Drew Weckbach and Jill Weckbach.
Numerous aunts, uncles, great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Cathy A. Reed.

A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 6:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until the time of the services at 6:00. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association or to Weckbach Family Scholarship at Quincy Notre Dame.

I am so sorry to hear about Bills passing. He was such a great guy. He and my brother (Larry Clair) were friends, and I'm pretty sure when Bill made it through the pearly gates (after explaining a few things to St Peter), he and Larry haven't stopped talking. Fly high Bill......fly high!
