James Harshman

James Harshman

James D. Harshman, a.k.a. "Jimmy Jaws", "Mr. Parker Brothers", "Big Jim", age 57, passed away on November 17, 2016. Jim was employed by Hollister Whitney. He had worked for Hoebing Lawn and Garden for several years and also was a dealer at Mark Twain Casino for many years. According to Jim, he was born on a horse December 30, 1958 to Joel & Joanne (Wagenknecht) Harshman.

Jim was a gentle soul who loved playing cards and games, taking his dog Peyton for a walk, and hanging out with his friends at The Replay. He would do anything for anyone. He rooted for the Oakland Raiders, LA Dodgers and was ecstatic when the Cubs won for his dad.

In accordance to Jim's wishes, please dress casually to his services.

He is survived by:
HIS MOTHER, Joanne Harshman
SIBLINGS: Steve Harshman (Theresa Medlin), Tim Harshman, Kim Wert (Dan), and Linda Aschemann (Terry). His greatest joy was his nieces and nephews: Miki Geisendorfer (Jeremy), Angel Wert, Colby Damon, Chevie Watts (David) and Kristi Shade (Doug). His great nieces and nephews that he loved dearly include Jolie and Luke Geisendorfer, Bentlee and Brantlee Watts, and Aliyah Damon.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joel Harshman.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jim Harshman Memorial Fund. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
