Jennifer Elizabeth Wiemelt

Jennifer Elizabeth Wiemelt, age 44, of 1502 Highland Lane, died on Monday, April 24, 2017. She was born on October 28, 1972 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Patrick & Jean (Baker) McClean. She married William Wiemelt. He survives.

Jenny was a beautiful free spirit and had a charisma that never failed to charm. She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and aunt. She was always proud of her extraordinary daughters, Summer and Ella. They were the light of her life. She was still crazy in love with her husband, Bill after 14 years of marriage. She was well versed in every aspect of the restaurant business. It was a family business and she worked every job there. In the last several years her husband Bill joined her in managing 'Sprout's'. Bill and their daughters will continue the tradition of Sprout's Inn for generations to come. She loved the staff as she loved her family because they became family. She was always excited and pleased to see a customer of 'Sprout's'. She had a multitude of friends that were so special to her as well as cousins, aunts & uncles and she delighted in spending time with them. Jenny belonged to the Catholic Faith and was a member of St. Francis. She graduated from Quincy Senior High and had attended Quincy University.

She leaves her husband William 'Bill' Wiemelt, her daughters Summer and Ella Wiemelt, her sister Doris (Scott) Gregory. Also, her niece Hanna Gregory; her nephews Cameron and Jack Gregory. Her mother Jean Holt and step-father Philip Holt, her aunts and uncles Jeff (Mary) McClean; Rod (Robin) McClean, Joan Shaffer, Larry (Lynne) Baker, Neal (Cathe) Baker. R.C. (Linda) Baker, Boyd (Beverly) Baker, Bruce (Jill) Baker.

Jenny was preceded in death by her father, Patrick McClean, her paternal grandparents Cecil 'Sprout' and Evelyn McClean and maternal grandparents: Melvin and Doris Shaffer.

The family feels especially blessed because Jenny was able to join her father on his birthday. In love and respect for Jenny, 'Sprout's' will be closed on Monday

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 9:30 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Catholic Church by Father Chuck Edwards.
