Donald A. Druffel, age 85, of Quincy, died on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Blessing Hospital. Don was born on April 9, 1930 in Quincy, a son of Henry and Margaret (Rupp) Druffel. He married Helen "Mick" L. Vaughn on May 9, 1959 in New London, MO. Helen is the daughter of the late Elmer and Clara (Donhardt) Vaughn of Quincy. Don and Mick renewed their vows years later at St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Don attended Quincy Notre Dame. He started his working career at Coca-Cola and worked there for five years. He worked for Packaging Corporation of America for twenty-eight years until they closed. He then worked for Sheller Globe for eight years. Don bought die making equipment from PCA and went into business for himself for seven years until he retired.

Don enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, wood working, maintaining his yard, driving for car dealers and most importantly, traveling to see his grandkids.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years, and his four daughters, Brenda Wardlow of Quincy, Terri (Randy) Bergman of SC, Donna (Kevin Corum) Cassidy of MO, and Kelly (Matt) Mersman of Indiana; eight grandchildren, Adam (Jill) Wardlow, Chasity (her fiance, Eric King) Wardlow, Shelby Wardlow, Danielle (Payton) Winkler, Kendall (Cassie Epperson) Bergman, Terra Cassidy and Blake and Logan Mersman; one great-grandson, Karson Wardlow.
Brothers and sisters-in-law, LeRoy (Pat) Vaughn, Judy (Dave) Lubbert, Ronald Vaughn and Dean Lillis all of Quincy.
Many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, Eugene, Rosemary, Robert, Charlotte and Richard.

A mass of Christian Burial held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Catholic Church, by Rev. Thomas Hagstrom. Visitation will be on Tuesday morning 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus TV Mass for the Shut-Ins. Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

As Don always said: "Until we meet again."
