Helen L. Creech

Helen L. Creech, age 78, of Quincy, IL, died on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in the Emergency Room of Blessing Hospital. She was born on August 27, 1938 in Burkesville, Kentucky, the daughter of Floyd and Pearl (Willis) Melton. She was a 1956 graduate of Payson Seymour High School. She married Richard S. Creech on September 13, 1957 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1995. Mrs. Creech worked as an accountant for C and M Salvage Co. and then later was a self-employed accountant, running a tax service business out of her home. Mrs. Creech was of the Methodist Faith. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by:
TWO SONS: Justin Creech of Quincy and Jesse (Rene')Creech of Ursa
ONE DAUGHTER: Julie (Jerry) Conner of Hannibal, MO
ONE SISTER: Louise (Roger) Brink of Canton, MO
& FOUR GRANDCHILDREN
Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, Helen was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers: William Melton and Warren Melton and a brother in infancy.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 1:00 PM in Shiloh Cemetery. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Julie, I'm so sorry for your family's recent loss. Prayers that comfort and peace will prevail through out all of the service, and in the days beyond when you're alone and will really feel the emptiness of her presence....just remember she loved and nurtured your family through out her life time and has earned her crown.
