Tanner Austin

Tanner Leroy Austin, age 20, of 1222 Vermont, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 8, 2017 in his home. He was born on September 1, 1996 in Quincy, IL the son of Michael & Dawn (Austin) Richards.

Tanner liked piecing together replica guns and modifying computer games. He always knew how to make you laugh. Tanner was very intelligent and was always willing to do anything to help someone. He adored his daughter, Hayden.

Tanner is survived by:
HIS PARENTS: Michael and Dawn Richards
A DAUGHTER: Hayden
A SISTER: Tierra Stover and her boyfriend Justin Agans
A BROTHER: Kaiden Dawson
AUNTS & UNCLES: Dale (Amy) Austin; Dean (Phyllis Fletcher) Austin; Denise Austin; Deanna (Mike) Barnes and Daniel (Kristi) Austin.
Numerous other relatives including cousins also survive.

Tanner was preceded in death by his grandparents: Cecil and Joyce Austin, Aunt Becky Powell and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14th, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home from 4:00 until 7:00. Memorials may be made to Addiction Free in Christ or to the Riverside Church.

I remember going to school with him, and his sister Tierra as well. I studied him the times I saw him, or was in class with him. He was such a hard worker and he always pushed himself to do his absolute best. He worked very hard every day to make sure he graduated.. He had his mind set on it. I am sending out many prayers to Tierra and her family in this tragic time.. Remember there's always a rainbow after the rain.
