Danny Joe Provine

Danny 'Joe' Provine, age 68, of 2717 KingsPointe NW, died on Saturday, July 15, 2017 in St. Vincent's Home. He was born on May 24, 1949 in Sumner, IL the son of Walter Lee & Toni Belle (Clodfelter) Provine. He was a graduate of Edward Co. High School in Albion, IL. He then graduated from Quincy Technical School and attended Olney Central College. He married Teresa 'Teri' Werneth on December 29, 1972 in St. Mary Catholic Church. She survives.

Mr. Provine had worked for Moorman Manufacturing and later for Titan Wheel in the Maintenance Department. He served in the United State Navy during the Vietnam War. He was the past president of the VFW in Albion, IL. He greatly enjoyed doing autobody restoration for his family and friends.

In addition to his wife Teri, he is also survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Mike (Elizabeth) Provine and Ryan (Carrie) Provine all of Quincy.
STEP-CHILD: Carol (Mike) Jones of Mt. Sterling, IL
GRANDCHILDREN: Brennen and Lauren Provine, and Regan (John) White.
STEP-GRANDCHILDREN: Brooke Jones, Riley Jones, MacKenzie Jones and Hannah Jones.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Callie, Chandler and Briar White
STEP-GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Jonessa and Graham Thompson and Blakely Volk.
BROTHERS AND SISTERS: Jeanie (Jerry) Schmittler; Kathy (Paul) Hedrick; Tim Provine; and Beth (Kevin) Weise.
BROTHERS-IN-LAW and SISTERS-IN-LAW: Bette (Ron) Steinkamp; Kathleen (Tom) Bueter; Bob (Pat) Werneth; John (Ruth) Werneth; Laura (Steve) Price; Lisa (Karnell) Williams; and Andrew Werneth.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Corey Provine and a brother-in-law: Jeff Werneth.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Calvary Cemetery with military rites conducted at the cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent Home or to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
