Frances A. Forbes

Frances A. Forbes, the best-ever Mom and Grandmother, passed on Monday, January 30, 2017 surrounded by her family at Blessing Hospital. She was born on December 19, 1943 in Quincy to John R. and Martha E. (Bryant) Miller, both preceded her in death. Fran married Michael D. Forbes. He survives.

Fran had three children who kept her on her toes. While raising her children, and managing a household, she very diligently worked outside the home. She had worked at Motorola, Gardner-Denver, Harris and Titan Wheel and lastly at Mr. Video. After retiring, Fran spent time with her growing family, sewing, crocheting and gardening. Fran loved her cats and dogs. She and Michael camped for many years at Whispering Oaks, and more recently at Cedar Lakes. Fran liked playing cards, Bingo and going to the casinos.

Fran is survived by her husband, Michael; children: Kenneth M. (Ruth Ann) Poulsen, Ricky A. (Pamela) Poulsen all of Quincy and Angela M. (Kirk) Seiz of Denver, IL; grandchildren: Hailey M. (Jeremy) Welty, Danielle N. Poulsen, Kristopher A. Seiz, Justin M. Seiz and Andrea M. Seiz; and one brother, Robert J. (Barb) Miller, of Kinderhook, IL and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John W. Miller, a mother-in-law, Elizabeth (Betty) Forbes and a father-in-law, Henry Forbes.
