Norma J. Blickhan Cramm

Norma Jean Blickhan Cramm of Quincy passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in Blessing Hospital.
She was born August 20, 1928 in rural Adams County to Ray and Laura (Knorr) Tenhouse.
Norma graduated from Clayton High School. She later worked as a beautician until her marriage to John J. 'Jack' Blickhan on September 5, 1950 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon. They celebrated their fortieth wedding anniversary in 1990. Jack preceded Norma in death on December 26, 1990.
Norma married Garland H. Cramm on April 22, 1995 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2010.
Surviving Norma are three sons: John Bradley (Becky) of Hannibal, Missouri, James Neal (Jill), and Joseph David (Susan) of Quincy; eight grandchildren: Kelly (Anthony) Key, Julie (Matt) Callen, Tyler, Seth (Liz), Brennan, Danielle (fiancé Tanner Mills), Jason (fiancée Shannon Williams), and Alex Blickhan; and four great-grandchildren: Carly, Carson, Isaiah, and Mia Callen; her sister Judy Settle, and three sisters-in-law Joan Tenhouse, Mary Tenhouse, and Edna Flesner, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
Along with her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her brothers Gerald, Glen, Lowell, and Loyd Tenhouse, a sister-in-law Ethel Tenhouse, and a brother-in-law Richard (Dick) Settle.
Norma was a born caretaker—first as a wife, then mother, and grandmother—making sure there was always a meal ready, cookies in the cookie jar, along with endless angel food and carrot cakes complete with cream cheese frosting. She adored her 'lambykins,' which she called each newborn grandchild and great-grandchild, always full of kisses and hugs as she bundled them to make sure they were never cold.
She had been active with the St. Edward Catholic Church Ladies Auxiliary, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and was a member of the Moose Lodge Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary, and Rocky Point Club. She was a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. Her family remembers the many years that she and her friend Dorothy Niekamp co-chaired the flower tent at the Adams County Fair.
SERVICES: Prayer service 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 29 at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home followed by Mass 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Solanus Church with Fr. Robert Barko officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
