Carol J. Schuering

Carol J. Schuering, age 78, of 3014 Lincoln Hill NE, died on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in her home. She was born on July 28, 1938 in Quincy, the daughter of Louis & Louise (Eggerson) Kill. Carol was a graduate of Quincy Senior High School. She married Donald P. Schuering on October 31, 1959. He survives. Carol worked at Quincy Senior High School, retiring in 1999.

Carol was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Women's City Club and the Elks. Carol enjoyed playing bridge and cards, shopping with her friends, working in her yard and watching her grandchildren at all of their activities.

In addition to her husband she is also survived by:
TWO DAUGHTERS: Leanne Schutte and her husband Steve of O'Fallon, MO and Amy Jones and her husband Rick of Quincy
FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Austin and Ashley Schutte and Ethan and Ian Jones.
ONE BROTHER: Jerry Kill and his wife Phyllis of Poway, CA.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives including a very special cousin, Dennis R. Williams also survive.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Quincy Notre Dame or to the Good Samaritan Home.
