I only met LaRue once. He greeted me with open arms as he welcomed me to the family. I wish we could have spent more time together. I know we would have been friends. Perhaps, someday, when we meet again.

Uncle LaRue, you have always had special place in my heart. The days we spent together I always cherished and now I have memories. Growing up I was so proud to say that I had an uncle who was a known chef and who traveled in exotic places. You are legend and honorable man to be proud of.
My day will come when I get to see you again in heaven, but for now give the family my love and enjoy making great foods.

Love you always and forever,
your niece Kim ♥

Dad...

I still can't believe that your not here. I miss you so much. I am so very proud of the man you had become. And the fact that you are such an awesome chef. I miss picking up the phone and getting your advice on cooking something. I miss hearing your voice even if it was over the phone. I hope to at least become half the person that you are. You have achieved so much and now it's time to rest. I know your guiding me while I raise your grandchild. And would you beileve it, now I get it when you always said I would get what's coming to me when I have my own kids. Dad I know your in paradise now but I so need you here with me. Drink an extra cup of coffee for me, keep guiding me in the direction you think right. I love you forever and always...
